In The News – June 5, 2017

Inaugural Issue features cover shoot with DigiTour CEO Meridith Valiando Rojas & social media stars, an advice column with Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran and more!

Englewood Cliffs, NJ (June 5, 2017) – You’re never too young to reach for the stars! Bauer Media Group USA, the No. 1 seller of magazines at retail in the country, today announces the launch of Teen Boss, the first-ever entrepreneurial magazine created for tween and teen girl readers, ages 8-15, on newsstands nationwide June 19.

Teen Boss aims to inspire its young girl readers to dream big while helping them to achieve their goals. The magazine will feature profiles of real tween business owners alongside interviews with stars who have leveraged their fame into successful businesses while providing readers with a trusted resource packed with useful information including advice from accomplished kidpreneurs, business-savvy tips from female business leaders and how-to’s for the next generation of CEOs.

“After more than a year in development, we’re thrilled to debut Teen Boss!” said editorial director Brittany Galla, who will oversee the new publication and has been instrumental in the recent expansion of Bauer Media US’s youth division. “There is no longer an age on success in today’s world! We’ve heard from parents, who have been searching for ways to empower and encourage their children, as well as our loyal base of young girl readers who are bursting with big dreams and exciting ideas but looking for guidance. With nothing like it on the newsstand, Teen Boss will be their one-stop destination to both inspire and educate them on young entrepreneurship.”

Featured on the cover of its debut issue is an exclusive photo shoot and Q&A with Meridith Valiando Rojas, co-founder and CEO of DigiTour – the largest producer of live events featuring young YouTubers, Musers, and other social media stars – and four social media superstars: Kristen Hancher, Tyler Brown, Simon Britton and Nathan Triska.

“Having built a teen brand myself, I’m obsessed with everything this generation has to offer. Gen Z girls are smart, savvy and entrepreneurial and their ideas have helped contribute to what DigiTour has become today,” said Meridith Valiando Rojas at the cover shoot. “I’m thrilled to be on the inaugural cover of Teen Boss magazine and hope it inspires girls to start their own DigiTour!”

Teen Boss’s first issue will launch “The 24-Hour Intern” contest, where readers will have the chance to win a side-by-side experience with Meridith at a DigiTour event—from sound check to showtime—and run their big ideas by the successful media mogul. Teen Boss and DigiTour will also co-host multiple signing events at Barnes & Noble locations nationwide.

Other highlights from the issue include:
• Profiles of 12 real teen business owners
• A reoccurring advice column with Shark Tank’s Barbara Corcoran
• Exclusive interview with 12-year-old Nickelodeon star Ella Anderson about launching her all-natural beauty line
• Exclusive interview with 13-year-old reality star JoJo Siwa discussing the launch of her bow collection at Claire’s
