Bauer Publishing Group announces Maria A. Padova as
Publisher of Life & Style Weekly

 
   
 

NEW YORK, NY (February 14, 2008)– Bauer Advertising Sales, Inc. announced today that Maria Padova will join the company as publisher of Life & Style Weekly beginning February 25.

Most recently, Ms. Padova served as Advertising Director of Us Weekly Magazine where her duties included directing sales strategies, developing multi-media programs and managing the national and international sales operations.

“We’re thrilled to have someone of Maria’s caliber join the company” said Ian Scott, President of Bauer Advertising Sales. “She has a wide breadth of sales experience at major publishing companies and her extensive knowledge of the celebrity weekly category will be particularly important as we continue to grow the Life & Style brand.”

Prior to her tenure at Us Weekly, Ms. Padova served in senior level sales management positions at Hearst, Conde’ Nast and Primedia including Associate Publisher of Town & Country, Advertising Director of Modern Bride and Director of Beauty Marketing for Redbook, among others. She also served as VP Publisher for Spa Finder Inc., the integrated marketing company considered the authoritative brand of the spa industry.

Launched in late 2004, Life & Style Weekly is now  the fastest growing magazine in the Bauer stable, with 2007 ad pages increasing +40% and revenue jumping +68% over the previous year.
