Bauer Publishing Group announces Theresa Gaffney as Associate Publisher Marketing of In Touch Weekly

 
   
  NEW YORK, NY (April 10, 2008) Bauer Advertising Sales, Inc. announced today that Theresa Gaffney will join the company as Associate Publisher of Marketing for In Touch Weekly beginning April 28.

Most recently Ms. Gaffney served as Creative Services Director of Condé Nast’s Portfolio where she spearheaded all marketing efforts around the company’s most successful launch, including the development of brand identity, strategic partnerships and signature programs.

“We’re thrilled to have someone with Theresa’s background join the magazine,” said Mark Oltarsh, VP/Publisher of In Touch Weekly. “She has over fifteen years of valuable and highly visible marketing experience with some of the most powerful brands in the industry. Her proven track record for successfully marketing to the advertising community will be particularly important as we continue to grow the In Touch brand.”

Prior to her tenure at Portfolio, Ms. Gaffney was Creative Services Director at Vogue where she initiated Vogue Studio and helped launch Men’s Vogue, and served as Creative Development Director at The New Yorker. She’s also held creative positions at Sotheby’s and Simon and Schuster.

In Touch Weekly is the 4th largest selling magazine at newsstand in the country reaching over 6.5 million young, affluent women each week. For full year 2007, In Touch showed a +20% growth in ad pages and a +32% increase in ad revenue over the previous year.

In the U.S., Bauer currently publishes a variety of magazines that connect with a nationwide audience of active, engaged newsstand consumers at every life stage - from tweens and teens (M, J-14, Twist, Quizfest, Astrogirl, Life Story) to young women (In Touch Weekly, Life & Style Weekly) to baby boomers and beyond (Woman's World, First For Women, Soaps In Depth).
